ADA Wheelchair Accessibility Policy
Sholla Transportation LLC is committed to providing safe, reliable, and nondiscriminatory transportation services in full compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), U.S. Department of Transportation regulations (49 CFR Parts 37 and 38), and the City of Dallas Transportation-for-Hire Ordinance (Chapter 47A).
1. Non-Discrimination
Sholla Transportation LLC does not discriminate against individuals with disabilities. No passenger shall be denied service based on disability or mobility limitations.
2. Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs)
Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles are available upon request and are equipped with ADA-compliant ramps or lifts and securement systems. Requests for WAV services will be fulfilled without unreasonable delay.
3. Wheelchair Securement and Assistance
Drivers are trained to properly deploy accessibility equipment and secure wheelchairs safely. Drivers will provide assistance with boarding, exiting, and securement upon request.
4. No Additional Charges
No additional fees will be charged for passengers using wheelchairs, mobility devices, or other ADA accommodations.
5. Service Animals
Service animals accompanying individuals with disabilities are permitted in all vehicles in accordance with ADA regulations.
6. Driver Training
All drivers receive ADA compliance training, including disability awareness and the proper operation of wheelchair accessibility equipment.
7. Complaints and Feedback
Passengers may file complaints or provide feedback regarding accessibility services by contacting Sholla Transportation LLC directly or by calling the City of Dallas Code Compliance Department at 311.
8. Policy Review
This policy is reviewed periodically to ensure continued compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local accessibility laws.
